My Club Vaio start up syncronisation

I have a VGN A617S and have just done a full system repair which has taken things back to default settings. Before the repair, when I clicked on the My Club Vaio icon, a black screen used to appear and then a blue "syncronisation" circle would build and then take me to a list of programs etc which are available on the computer.
After the repair, when I clicked on the icon, the black screen appeared and a blue progrees line swept across the screen and it opened up.
Now however, when I click on the icon, the black screen appears but it just hangs and does nothing.
In case it makes any difference, I have downloaded some Sony upgrades.
Can anyone help me please

Hi FJM,

Sorry for the delay..

I've just fired up my Vaio with this version of My Club VAIO and it doesn't appear to update any more..

To be honest I would worry to much as, My Club VAIO is basically a portal with a group pre-set links, and I must admit I only seem to launch it when answering questions on the forum..

How do I get to the information behind the screen - I used to access the User manual via this screen
Is there another way to get to this Document ?

Hi FJM,

you should be able to access the User manual by clickon My Computer, followed by C drive.

In the C drive click on Documentation folder & Documentation folder again, followed by the language folder of your choice.

If the User manual is located as I suggest above, to make it easier to access next time you could create a shortcut on your desktop.

I have included a quick guide on the process should you wish to create a shortcut..

Right-click on the User Guide.PDF files and point to Send to and then Desktop (Create Shortcut)..
