Vaio Gate help

Hi guys. Wondering if you could help. The laptop is not allowing me to drag and drop things into the Vaio gate at the top of the screen. It is currently empty. How do I drag and drop things into it?

welcome to Club VAIO..

As far as I am aware you simply drag the icon for the program you want to add and drop it onto the Vaio Gate toolbar..
