Xperia Mini Pro Power Off Alarm

I tried switching off the phone to save the battery since it drains up each night.

But I was shocked to find that my alarm did not work.

Am I missing something, Is there any setting where I could make it wake up to ring the alarm ?

I know that it has nothing to do with Android since I had an Android device that could auto sleep and wake up at specific times.

If it is a hardware level problem with this phone, It would be really disappointing

Yes. When I keep Wifi Switched Off, the battery lasts much longer.

For Anyone reading this later:

1) To find out if it's possible to use the Alarm when the mobile is powered off:

The Answer is NO.

2) If the battery is running out too fast, then make sure you turn off Wifi when it's not in use.

Just maintaining a wifi connection uses a lot of battery even if no other App is actually transferring data.

Thanks for all your help uliwooly-wooly.
