Xperia Mini Pro Power Off Alarm

Xperia Mini Pro Power Off Alarm

I tried switching off the phone to save the battery since it drains up each night.

But I was shocked to find that my alarm did not work.

Am I missing something, Is there any setting where I could make it wake up to ring the alarm ?

I know that it has nothing to do with Android since I had an Android device that could auto sleep and wake up at specific times.

If it is a hardware level problem with this phone, It would be really disappointing

ok so that's the culprit of your power drainage, wi-fi, even when you are not using it will drain your battery, you should turn it off when you dont use it, just add a widget

on the homescreen press MENU -> add -> widget -> on/off wifi or powercontrol

or download this app

I think this was asked somewhere else on the forum.

Just wondering why you turn it off? I leave mine on over night and the amount of battery it uses is almost nonexistent. Does your percentage go down a lot?

I have livewallpaper, GPS on, Background data on, auto sync on, alarms set, few accounts synced, and I only waste 1% of battery per hour at night when I don't use the phone.

if you must disconnect from the world press the power button then select airplane mode at night

which Android was it ? because that feature it's not supported by Android only RIM and Java phones, not iOS nor Android

I've never had that habit when I was using my Nokia E55, It lasted 3 days with Apps open in the background.

This phone on the other hand barely lasts a full day. So in order to spent less than an hour in the morning to charge the battery, I try to save by switching on at night. If i leave the battery at 91% at night, in 8 hours it reduces to 48%.

It's a new phone I got a few days back. Could it be that the battery is faulty ?

The shop keeper told me to charge it for 6 hours for the first time.

But I charged it only till the green indicator came on at ~92% which took about an hour.

Is that the problem ?

Wow.. That is amazing... 1% is that with an active network or offline mode?

I don't like disconnecting from the network each night and reconnecting back in the morning.

But to save battery, I have started doing that.

I don't disconnect anything at all, I leave

GPS, brightness at 50%, background data on, auto sync on, synced with multiple accounts, and I'm on H (faux 4G), live wallpaper and multiple widgets

bluetooth and wifi are off but besides that everything it's on and only 1% per hour at night when I don't use the phone.

I think you have an app that its constantly syncing and draining your battery

charge your phone at night before you go to sleep to 100% first thing in the morning go to to

settings -> about phone -> battery use -> tap on each item on the list and write down the info that will let us know what is really going on

It was one of those iPhone Clones: Hero H2000.

It was pretty decent, the only problem was that it had few minor inconviences which weren't thought out. It had no proximity sensor which made me disconnect calls half way through when my cheek pressed the screen.

The configuration wasn't correct and it kept downloading Games in the wrong resolution from the Market (like angry bird was highly pixelated). Apart from that it was okay.

I had an option in settings ->"Schedule power on/off"DSC_0010.jpg. It was really handy.

I thought the base OS is capable of that and I expected all Android phones to have that feature.

It was Android 2.2 for that matter.

that was probably an add on, just like videocalls over 3G (not data plan)

now I wonder if it was really Android or a look alike java base android

did you have FULL access to the market?
