After updating my Xperia E1 on Android 4.4.2 (Kitkat) my Facebook App was automatically uninstalled. If I want to install the app from Google Play Store I get the Message "Incompatible Version" and the installation is aborted. I shut down my mobile, removed sim-card and battery put both in again and than started the phone again but that changed nothing. A repair over PC Companion failured also due to no available software. Can you help me? thanks a lot:smileysmileythumbsup:
Solved! Go to Solution.
If you want to return the phone i recommend that you contact your local support team to see if that's possible.
But if you repair/reinstall the phones firmware using a computer and PC Companion or Bridge for Mac this should solve the issue.
I have had same problem, why was I asked to update my xperia and now I cant get facebook the only app I almost use,I have tried what was suggested and still nof acebook, need an answer now ?????
tried and failed,what now?
Sorry to hear that.
Can you please clarify if it was the repair of the phones software that didn't work or if the software repair worked but didn't solve the issue with Facebook?
Factory reset worked but make sure you back up everything first. If you have an SD card, just throw everything to that as it only deletes internal storage. I took the SD card out before the reset to be ultra safe anyway tho
