Hi everyone....
I've recently bought a FE41E laptop almost a month ago... now the touchpad has stopped working... while using vista i had a blue screen saying its saving a dump file (Blah blah) and it restarted. after that the touchpad is not working.. I have even completely restored my windows to factory default. but still no luck.. i thinks its a hardware problem .. i'm really worried.
. hope to get a help from u guys...
thanks..

Hi fids
Welcome to Club Vaio..
Go to Start > Run type devmgmt.msc and press OK, Device Manager window should open, double click Mouse and Other Pointing Devices.
Is there a mouse listed, if so, what type and are there any error codes..?
Thanks thalamus!!!
Even after the full recovery of the system, the mouse didn't work. So before giving the customer sevice a call for repair, I tried checking with linux. As i started my machine with linux live CD, the mouse started again. then I restared and checked it on vista, my mouse was working there too... now I'm wondering what was the problem and how did the linux CD fix it..
... Any idea....????
Now I'm wondering if the problem appears again should I place the linux CD for a repair??? interesting...... hmmmmm.....
Glad the mouse is finally working..
