Hi, I will be looking to get a Neo when my contract ends but I have a problem. I have used 12 Alpha/numeric keys to text with for the past 20yrs. I don't want to use a qwerty keyboard when I am holding my phone in portrait mode. I know HTC and Samsung have an option to switch to this type of keyboard but SE don't. Can I get an app to give me the alpha/numeric keyboard I want? TIA.

Hi, been back to have another play and I think it has something to do with setting the default input as a Chinese keyboard. This will then give the option of 12 key input or qwerty input. Don't own an arc (I'm waiting for the Neo) so I can't tell exactly how to get the 12 key as the default in portrait mode, but I know it can be done. Why it is not an option with an English keyboard I don't know. All I know is I prefer it to a qwerty keyboard.
I just played with my Arc and it does give you that option using the chinese keyboard, there are other keyboards that you can use
