Not sure how is your sms setting being set up (depending on Network Operator).

Some are set up automatically when inserting SIM card in phone while some are set up by manual input.

Suggest you remove and insert your SIM card. If that didn't work, request it from your Network Operator.

Good luck.

Hi G whisperz ....Thanks for ur reply.... pls have a look at the the full details and do give a me reply : I updated the phone with the 2.1 S/w update and after a week today tried to send an sms and it was showing a message "could not send", so i was thinking  my sms message center number was not correct. so i went to settings: wireless & network settings: mobile networks: ( This is where iam supposed to find the sms center for me to enter the number............ but itsssssssss missing Slightly_frowning_Face  ). Refer to my earlier suggestions, do the easy one first (actually both are easy :smileysilly:).

Remove and re-insert SIM card.

Try searching the web .... search for your Network Operator, maybe you might get lucky and stumbled onto the sms setting. Slightly_smiling_Face

If you don't mind, provide me the name of your Network Operator, see whether I can come out with anything.

Lucky for you I have X10 mini with Android 1.6 and X10 mini pro with Android 2.1. After comparing, I understand what you meant!

For Android 2.1, goto your dialer, key in #*#*4636*#*#, a menu will appear. Tap Phone Information, scroll down to SMSC field, key in your message centre number in the blank field and tap Update.

This is one reason why I did not update my X10 mini to Android 2.1 (just in case I need to check some info) Winking_Face

Good luck.

Does this work on your X10 Gwhispererz?  I had this before that I couldn't access this menu from either my X10 (UK branded T-Mobile) or my X8 world generic unbranded.  Do you have to press the call handset icon or once you have put in the last # does the menu appear? Am I being a bit thick again!?! Winking_Face

Just played a hunch... its star hash star hash 4636 hash star hash star on my phones.  Ooooohhhh a place I haven't explored yet! Me likes.
