regarding update

I have Xperia X10a. I have been given this phone as a gift originally from canada to asia. Now I want to update its software version from 1.6 to 2.1. But i have a doubt that will it lock my phone? Please clearifi it.

Hi there

Updating the software in your phone will not affect the sim lock status. If the phone is unlocked it will stay unlocked.
