Sony xperia m5 update could not install

I can download the marshmellow update but when i click on install i get an error it says Could not install the new software version. Try again. I tried couple of times downloading the same update but it still doesn't install.

I recommend that you perform the update using a PC and Xperia Companion if possible.

I've tried in all suggested ways but it doesn't work.

try to run the Xperia companion with admin privelages.

re install Xperia companion

use different port

make sure to have a fast stable connection

allow thru firewall

use a different PC

restart your device before connecting

check Xpericheck.com to see if the udpate is really available in your area.
