I have been unable to register the purchase of my PS5 Disc Version, to My Sony account here in the UK. I have typed in the model number :- CFI-1016A, but i am unable to progress any further on Registering A New Product section, i.e:- Did you buy online?, Name of store, Purchase date, etc. I have tried using different browsers, different devices, mobile, laptop, ipad, but nothing seems to work!! Has anyone else had this problem? Any solutions to rectify this?

Thanks Marino for your reply. I tried that before i posted, & nothing seems to work. I think the site isn't working properly, & doesn't recognise the model number of the PS5 (Disc Version) CFI-1016A
Sorry, I read quickly and I confused the "abbreviation" with another product, even if you wrote PS5.
I don't think there is a way to register a PS5 in Sony Electronics.
You can activate or deactivate your console from the
following setting.
Go to [Settings]> [Users and Accounts]> [More]>
[Console sharing and offline playback],
then select [Enable] to activate or [Disable]
to deactivate.

Hey keclark86, PS devices have a different website for registration, try contacting PS support to know the right one. Or try linking your accounts if you already have a PS account.

Ps5 registration is done through playstation network and is a fully automated process.
When you connect to the psn the console is registered to your account.
You can view your registered devices by going to:
https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/support/hardware/
Sign in and the click on your profile then select account settings.
At the bottom you will see "device management"
Your playstation devices are in there
