Making Video Call

hello. i just buy an xperia e5 but i cannot make an videocall.

does anyone knows why???

Could you please elaborate a bit on what behaviour you are experiencing when you are trying to make a video call, the more information we have the easier we can help you!

Like @uliwooly mentioned it would help if you could tell us which app you are using to make a video call and if you are connect to a Wi-Fi network or if you are using mobile data.

I would recommend having a look at the application called Google Duo if you wish to make video calls!

when i am in a place wich has wifi i use messenger or viber and it works.

when i want to make video call from my phone without any app and without wifi  i can't make it.

i can't find an icon wich is for video call.

also can you tell my if it has a flashlight?

sorry for my questions but i can't wait to use it!!

Hello again!

Video calls are not a part of the calling function in Xperia devices. So you will not be able to make video calls using the native phone app, or via an operator.

To be able make video calls you will need to use a third party application, for example those that you have already installed (Messenger and Viber).

When you aren't connected to Wi-Fi network and you want to make a video call, you will need to have an active internet connection via mobile data in your phone. There is usually a specific amount of GB per month included in your subscription from your operator that you can use for video calls, downloading apps and so forth when you aren't connected to a Wi-Fi network.

So give your operator a call and they will be able to tell you have much this amount is for your subscription.

To access the flash light in your phone, drag the status bar down twice, or put 2 fingers at the top of your screen and drag downwards, you will now see the quick settings. Here you can access different features in your phone and customize what should be shown or not.

Flash light should be here as default, simply tap on it and it will turn on, tap on it again to turn it off!
