Hi @sonyhaters,

I'm sorry to hear this. Slightly_frowning_Face

There are a few things you can try to see if you can get your device to start up again. Try these tips one after each other, make sure to check if you can power on your device after each one.

  • The battery of your device may be completely discharged. It generally takes at least 30 minutes for a device with a completely drained battery to show that it is being charged. During this period the screen may remain black and the charging light may not light up to indicate that the device is charging. When the charging icon appears on the screen, you can try to turn on your device. If the battery has been completely drained of power, it can take up to four hours before the charging icon appears on the screen.
  • Make sure you use an original Sony charger and USB cable intended for your Xperia device when charging. Other chargers may be too weak as they may have a different electric current rating (mA). It is recommended that you use the charger plugged into a wall socket, rather than charging via a computer.
  • Temporarily remove any SIM and SD card from your device. If the device start without these in, replace them.
  • Perform a force restart on your device. To do so press and hold the volume up and on/off key for  120 seconds. Then charge your device for at least 30 minutes before trying to power it back on.

Let me know how it goes.

Was deleting old emails. As got to end the tablet down dead and will not restart. Tried all the tricks with holding vol up and off button to no affect. Will not respond to Sony Companion.

Anyone know how to restart
