A few months ago I performed a Factory Reset in an attempt to improve performance. As the phone was rebuilding it's apps, the rear and then the front cameras stopped responding. The message 'Camera not available - Restart your device and try again' appears after a few seconds.
Since then I've tried Reboots, Factory Resets and a Software Repair but the cameras still won't work.
Then a week or so ago my phone reset and when it started up Discord could access my cameras - for a short time. Then the cameras remembered they weren't supposed to be working and promptly stopped.
I'm assuming there is an issue with a system app. Is there a way to roll the whole system back to a previous version?
I'm running Android 10, Build number 52.1.A.3.137
Hi @wendlethred
This is properly related to hardware and not only software.
Try the camera test from the support app on the phone: settings-support-Xperia tests, if you can't even perform the test, that means it's a hardware issue and I'd recommend to send it to Sony for repair.
