Sony Memory Optimisation Killing Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes
There seems to be some kind of mess happening with the Xperia XZ software, causing Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes to crash, it seems to be fairly consistant across users and happening in the same place. Some people have had success in setting the option to "Keep Cache" for this app, I unfortunatley have not.
This has been reported to EA and they've acknowledge the bug. But I think it's more of a problem with Sony's memory optimisation software, instead of EA's game. The game runs fine on every other device, but not this one.
Other suggestions have been to copy the APP_DATA from your old device to you new one using Xperia Tranfer, but that option doesn't appear to be available anymore.

Since it's a third party game, it will be up to EA to address this issue, not Sony or any other brand.

I would question how a 3rd party is supposed to fix Son'y memory optimisation?
I have no doubt EA are looking into this. But this looks to be squarely Sony's fault here. It should at the very least be raised with them that their system is causing problems.

"This has been reported to EA and they've acknowledge the bug"
Tells me they are working on fixing it.
Generally, big corps such as EA don't acknowledge bugs that are anyone else's fault.

Hi @moonhead,
Something to keep in mind is that there are hundreds of different combinations of hardware components that go into different Android devices. It is up to the application developers to optimise their apps to suit different variations of hardware.
Another thing to note is that the version of Android used on Xperia devices is very close to stock. The memory optimisation you are talking about is Googles memory optimisation, which is the same as most other Android devices.
If EA has noted that they are aware of the bug, then it is indeed a bug with the application and as they have acknowledged it, you can be quite confident that they are already working to resolve it.
