I noticed that twice after I ran out of battery, when I turned my phone on again, the date and time was set to Jan. 1 2010.
I have unchecked the automatic date/time/timezone and set it manually after the first time, but it still happened.
Is this a normal occurence when you run out of battery?
Hi @YoGem
I disabled it because I had it on during the first time it happened. Is it best to leave this on? Also, is it safe to say that the date/time resetting is normal?
Hi @morrissye,
If there is no charge left in the phone there is nothing for the clock to store the correct time. I am not sure if these phones have a dedicated clock battery.
I personally would recommend using the automatic time, as it will take the correct time from your service provider and automatically adjust it when you get connected to the network.
Just as an aside, it's not usually ideal to let your battery discharge completely. If you keep your battery charged it will last longer in the long run.
You two are both awesome, thank you!
