I've had these earphones for a few weeks now and they're great, the one issue I'm having is that the battery drains overnight.
I often use them to watch netflix on my tablet in bed, they start with 100% and usually have 80-90% left when I'm done.
When finished, I turn off the bluetooth on my tablet and switch it off. I take the earphones out and leave them on the side, they are set to switch off when taken out of the ear.
When I wake up, they are always down to 1 or 2%, what am I doing wrong?
I don't put them back in the charging box as quite frankly, I shouldn't have to as they're set to switch off when taken out of the ear.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Why not put them back in the charging box? They're designed to be put in there when not in use so there's no risk of damage to the batteries for example and you also don't risk losing one/both of them accidentally.
That said, the headphones would automatically connect to any paired device, so turning off the tablet might not be enough if they then connect to let's say your phone.

Thanks for the reply.
I don't put them in the box as I usually watch netflix to help me fall asleep, as soon as I'm feeling tired, I just take them out and turn the tablet off. If I start messing around trying to put them back in the box in the pitch black, I'll wake up again.
The bluetooth on my tablet and phone are both off, the only other device with bluetooth is my partners phone but the earphones aren't synced to her phone so that shouldn't make any difference.
They are set to switch off when taken out of the ear so that is when they should be turning off, it's a complete mystery to me and a very annoying one.
According to the Help Guide, even if you don't adjust that setting yourself, it's supposed to turn off automatically when not in ..., so this seems like a glitch to me, try resetting them.
Thanks,
I've just reset them so we'll see what happens tonight.
Hey SpankerCC, what happened? Did it work?
I reset them after the advice, one fo them is not losing any charge at all now.
Sadly, the right one is still doing it.
I've reset it twice now and will give it one more go, if that doesn't work, I'll be contacting Sony.
That's odd, try initializing them: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wf1000xm4/v1/en/contents/TP1000428697.html and don't pair them with any other device for now to test. Just one.
Thanks for this, I will definitely give it a go but how is this different to resetting them?
I've currently only got them paired with my tablet for the resetting tests.
Hi SpankerCC, yes, initialzing is different. Let us know how it went. Good luck.
