Hi,
I have a Sony VAIO svf1531c5e running Win 10 v1909.
Recently some of the Sony VAIO Control Centre functions have stopped working.
The option for the backlit keyboard to Always be on has stopped working and it only lights up after a key is pressed even though "always on" is selected.
Does anyone know how to fix or if I can do it via the registry editor?
Regards...

I have finally managed to solve this issue myself, so hopefully, it will help others with similar issues.
If your VAIO function keys or settings in VAIO Control Center are not working as they should if you open up the Services via Computer Management and look for a Service called "VAIO Event Service".
Make sure it is set to "Automatic" and that it is "Started".
On mine, it was disabled and stopped and as soon as I started it, the function keys and keyboard backlight settings started to work again.
Hi there,
Have you updated all your drivers?
Best wishes,
M
Yeah, all the laptop drivers are up to date.
This used to work, but recently stopped.
Any other ideas?
Do you have the latest update for VAIO Care/Control Centre? If yes, maybe try backing it up and reinstalling it, also make sure you don't have any other programs that may interfere with it.
I have:-
VAIO Care ver. = 8.4.7.12066
VAIO Control Center = 6.3.17.08230
