Hi. Whilst running on battery power I find browsing the internet a much more enjoyable experience because my fan doesn't come on half as much. When I'm on AC power the laptop gets much hotter and there is more fan noise. I've tried to adjust the power options so that they're exactly the same as when running on battery power but it doesn't seem possible. Is there a way?
Sounds like your CPU is running on performance mode when on AC power, if so, change it to adaptive, that way, it'll only run flat out when it needs to.
