CLUB VAIO DESKTOP ICON

HI GUYS I HAVE SEEN EVERYONE WHO REGISTERED ON CLUB VAIO HAS A CLUB VAIO ICON ON HIS DESKTOP BUT WHERE IS MINE !? I HAVE REGISTERED MY VAIO BUT I DNT GET TO HAVE THAT ICON OR AT LEAST I DONT KNOW WHERE TO GET IT FROM ..AND MY VAIO KEEPS REMIND ME TO REGISTER IT WHEN I ALREADY DID WHEN I GOT IT :-?? , WHY IS THAT ?

Are you referring to the My Club VAIO icon.?

You may be able to stop the registration pop-up from starting by clicking Start , click All Programs , click Accessories, click System Tools then click Task Scheduler..

Click Continue on the User Account Control window.

In task scheduler window you should see three sections, Overview of Task Scheduler, then below this Task Status and finally at the bottom Active tasks..

In task scheduler go to the bottom section of the centre column (called active tasks)

Double click MCVRegistrationReminder1 and in the new window select disable...

Note...there may be more than 1 reminder in the task list..

yes My Club VAIO icon i never had that even i register my laptop online , or maybe is because i got the laptop from Greece coz i live in Greece now for the moment and i have registered my VAIO on Club VAIO website but the Uk interface , is this wrong what i did ?
How do i get that icon ?
i have tryed what you said to me i got there but there is no MCVRegistrationReminder1 , not even one ,it is a total of 37 active tasks but none like that .
is this normal? i mean .. when you register your VAIO online that reminder still have to appear even you already registered your VAIO ?
hope is not bc i have registered on UK interface and not greek one

Hi danixing,

it doesn't matter if you live in Greece and register your vaio on the UK site, this shouldn't affect your vaio in any way..

Do you have a My Club VAIO icon in Start all programs.?

What model vaio do you have.?

As to the Vaio registration pop up appearing at startup do you have an option to tick 'do not show reminder next time' or something similar.?

i understand now about the registration thing , i was affraid i did something wrong when i have registeed it on uk interface..
No, i dont have My club VAIO icon there ..i search for it but it is missing..
My VAio is VGN-NW21EF .
it is not appear at start up ..just sometimes when i enjoy my Vaio that thing shows up and yes i have something saying "do not remind me"..and i will do it next time when shows up..i was thinking if i click on not remind me again i will do someting worong with the registration ..coz in my mind i thought should automatically recognize the registration when id id it and not show up..
i will attach a pic so you can see how it shows up ...and i thought if this keep showing up means i did somehting wrong at the registration and i didnt want to click "dont remind me " but iw ill do it next time. :smileygrin:
Can i get My Vaio CLub icon too ? can you help me with that ?

Hi danixing,

The registration popup is designed to prompt you to register your vaio and will keep doing so until you click do not remind me, whether you have registered or not..

As to the My club Vaio icon can you find any reference to the application in C:\Program Files\Sony.?

as about My Vaio Club Icon or something related i couldn't find anything where you pointed me to..dunno why..

do you have any ideea ?
i would like to have that icon but if is not possible will be fine i think ...
