W995 does not power on when it's the keypad's slid out...please help

Has any one who have the w995 or any other slider phones experienced not being able to turn the phone on?I can still use it when I turn it off and power it on while the keypad is closed. But when it's on and try to use slide the keypad out, the display will be all messed up, and there was one time that the screen went completely blank.. I can still use it,however, I'd have to turn it off and on all the time. Can someone help me?

http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/mobilephones/downloads/w995?cc=il&lc=en I also use the W995 but have never experienced this problem.Assuming the problem is software related, you can try running the SE update service to update/re-install the software and/or a phone repair via PC Companion and failing that, a master reset. If however these actions fail to fix the problem, it's probably a hardware issue and you'll need to contact a service centre.Remember to back up your phone data on PC/PC Companion/memory card before attempting an update/reset.Hope this helps.

Thank you sir. I'm considering to have my phone checked by a tech. I've already run software update but to no avail. I have been having this problem for almost 3 weeks now.

No problem. It sounds like a hardware issue so having it checked is a good idea.

Sir, I've had my phone checked and it didn't turn out well. i had the ribbon replaced but the thing is, it still doesn't work. i still get a blank screen every now and then that i have to reboot my phone from tim to time for me to get a working display

Well perhaps the ribbon wasn't replaced correctly, or there's another hardware issue such as the LCD screen.I suggest you take it back and have it re-examined by the technician.
