SMS Delivery report receipts!

I have just found out that i have been charged a ton of money for having delivery reports on my phone (which i wasnt even aware was on!). I have read other posts here saying to go into messages and settings then untick delivery reports. I dont seem to have message settings anywhere! My only option after i open the message app is the "new message" button or opening a one of the messages.  Please help!

open your messaging app -> press MENU -> settings -> uncheck delivery report

I dont see a menu button anywhere in the message app. Where should it be? When i open messages all i have is a list of recieved messages and one button at the top saying "new message".

press the MENU button at the bottom of your hancent you have Three buttons
