Ok, downloaded the user guide from the SE web site, installed it into the "Others" as a Zip file (emanual.zip). Can access the file and read it when the SD card is mounted on the computer, however trying to read the guide on the phone gives the message "Cannot find user guide on memory card. The memory card has been removed or the files have been deleted".
Memory card is still in the phone, and the file is on the card.
Any ideas anyone?

hmmmm .... there is this emanual.zip file in my SD Card ???? !!!!
HUH ???? too fast. Can i do the same to the emanual.zip in my SD Card? It was there since Android 1.6 (I think).
When the phone is connected to the computer the file shows up on the card as emanual.zip, and I can open and read the file. Just the phone doesn't seem to register the file exists on the SD card. Might try downloading the Linda file manager and see if that finds it.
Thank you for the replies folks.
No idea, deleted my old user manual before I tried installing the new one. Don't ever use it so thought I had nothing to lose!
I have emailed our Manager to let them know that the instructions are misleading.
I followed this to replace the one that was already on my phone, as I assume this covered 1.6 and therefore no longer any use so deleted it before installing the new one.
Once downloaded thats were you just need to name it emanual - not emanual.zip.
Ok, not an issue, I won't bother about it.
I am still able to read it online or on my PC (I doubt I will read it at all) :smileysilly:.
Hi Suze, renamed the file as emanual, without the zip part. Phone spent an age trying to open it, but has now succeded.
Thank you. Maybe the file shopuld be renamed as emanual in the SE instructions instead of emanual.zip.
Yeah I thought it had got itself stuck in a loop when trying to install it but it got there eventually - its a big file obviously! Glad you are sorted. And I have passed the problem higher up so that hopefully the instructions can be made a bit clearer.
Just an update. Downloaded file directly to X10 from the link provided by Suze. Followed instruction, renamed file to emanual.zip and it works. Quite a long wait though. Time to sleep. Nite ....
