I just purchased the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc from amazon.com,which says it is an LT15a. Should I be concerned? Sony's site now has the Arc INDEFINITELY backordered, and was $200 more than what I could get on amazon.com. I lost my X10a,AND I MISS MY ANDROID! Worse,I heard that SE started rolling 2.3 out for generic X10a's like mine. I flashed my Xperia from xda and never looked back!
I am here in the USA,and my mobile carrier is at&t. I won't have problems with phone setting,SMS and MMS messaging settings.etc.,will I? Had problems sending MMS messages over at&t to others,I believe after the official 2.1 OS was rolled out at the beginning of June.
Google's Android market support was FANTASTIC!! Called them, asked about my current X10a apps to rollover to the new Arc,and the young man from CSR said that I could!! I think Google really cares about its customers and how we can customize our mobiles via the market and other developer sites.
Mind you,I'm still a novice when it comes to Android and the tech talk surrounding it,but excited enough to do research to flash my mobile if need be,to get better results for my mobile. I always read up,ask questions, and try to take in all the information that is out there,to put it to my use,to make my mobile work FOR ME AND MY LIFE!
I would also like to thank everyone on here at Sony Ericsson support, for those who will answer my qusetions here;your input is invaluable. Although disappointed at Sony Ericsson at times for neglecting its customer base, the people on here at support are wonderful. FOR THAT, I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
Solved! Go to Solution.
You can use Format Factory
to convert them to mp3 files
I haven't encountered any wifi issues (after the update)
and 6-10mb is nothing now if its 10GB per month they might want to say something but its not a lot, 15GB per month that will be an issue
Thank you so much for all your input. Will use the link to convert my files.
no problem
Just checked amazon, and the phone is at the PO!! Cannot wait to try it out. Will take pc with me to update the OS as you have perscribed. I just hope it is the ARC LT15a!!
You will love it, specially the camera its quite fast, still no burst mode but you can take pictures quite fast
I hate to say this, but the mobile is running 2.3.3 gingerbread right out of the box!! Really no need to update the OS!! The phone is GLORIOUS;big, smooth, better keyboard feel than the X10a I had. The only thing I do not see on the camera is image stabiliser,at least what I cannot find on the phone's camera menu. And I do need it to be a steadyshot!! I did turn that on for the video cam,but cannot find it in camera menu.
Otherwise I love the mobile. It is using HSPA,and now I have to either try tethering or use PDANet,which I paid for and love.

Spoke too soon;found image stabiliser under normal mode.
Have both screen protector and rubber case;this time I was prepared. Also have my SE HBH-DS220 paired, only SE accessories for my SE phones!!
