LED Notification problem after 2.3 update

Hi,

Please help!

After I updated to 2.3 the notification LED has stopped working.

It just flashes white every so often, but doesn't flash green/blue for other notificaions (SMS/Email/FB) as it used to.

It does still turn orange/green when on charge.

How do I fix this?

Thanks in advance

Hi, have you tried a Factory Data Reset or Software Repair? If not, give both a go and let us know how it goes.

Both process will erase phone data completely (SD Card not affected), I believe you should have your backup prior to Android 2.3 update.

Good luck.

Thanks, I did a factory reset and I think it works now.

However the LED still keeps flashing white periodically...I havent seen this before the update.

Also, since the update, when I recieve a text message, I get a notification on the lock screen  like: 1 message recieved...or similar, but I dont get anything like that for emails...just wondering if there is a setting that needs changing or is it not supposed to have that.

Thanks again

Glad that it worked. Slightly_smiling_Face

Not sure about the white flashing LED, you might want to check if you have enable any notification on your other installed apps.

As for your email notification, have a look at the Setting on your email apps (you need to be connected either with Wi-Fi or Mobile Data in order to received email notifications).

I've just figured out what the white LED is for...it flashes everytime the timescape widget updates.

On a separate note, I very often get a notification message 'facebook update not possible'...or 'could not connect to facebook' or something along those lines, which I think is related to timescape but I'm not sure. I had it even before the update, is this because it tries to update at times my signal is low? It happens quite often.

Thanks again

Glad that you have figured it out. Slightly_smiling_Face Not sure regarding the Facebook error, no harm checking those settings for Facebook and Timescape.
