Having Just got a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 pro mini today, after half a days usage I found I was unable to get any signal.
Having tried the obvious solution of turning it on and off, removing and putting back the sim card im now struggling to come up with a solution.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Many thanks

Solved! Go to Solution.
Ive just tried this, it provided a short term fix, ie 1minute or so unitl the phone locked and then I was back to no signal, unfortunately this time it cant be resolved in this way.
If the handset is dropping signal simply by locking (based on your last post) then I would say it is more likely a software issue than anything. First thing to try in this case is running a software update and if that does not resolve the issue you may wish to speak with your network provider regarding a SIM swap.
make sure to back up everything before Update Service
just to play it safe sync your contacts w/ google if you haven't already
if you don't want to use the backup & restore app then
Install "backup SMS" to back up your SMS and MMS to your Gmail

or your SMS use

or for your MMS use "Save MMS"
