Hi Folks
Apologies if this question has been answered before. I am personally not keen on the native keyboards on the Xperia X10 and wondered if there is a keyboard that has '1 A B C' on one key, '2 D E F' on another and so forth? I had such a keyboard on my former Nokia 5800 and liked it above all others.
I did a search on the Market but did not have any success so any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Scott
Solved! Go to Solution.
There's a pay app called (EvenBetter)NumberPad Keyboard which has quite good reviews. $3.99 when I just looked.
Thanks for this information Suze...I will go check it out and provide feedback
Regards
Scott
I have just purchased the (EvenBetter) NumberPad Keyboard and it's exactly what I was looking for
Thanks again Suze for your help

I have today come across the HTC_IME mod which installs a HTC keyboard with qwerty/compact qwerty and a numeric keypad.

Its free and its pretty easy to do.... if I can follow the instructions anyone can.
I'm loving it!
Sorry Scott that you parted with your hard earned but thought I would update this for others looking for the same thing.

Guys, do you remember when Xperia X10i was released with 1.6 OS, it had a keyboard, which had auto/intelligent prediction words.
For example: When I type How...., it would suggest 'are' 'is', and when I select 'are', it will prompt 'you', etc.
Remember that 1.6 OS keyboard?
This is not available in 2.1. I purchased Smart Keyboard Pro, and it's not available in that too. It doesn't predict.
Will Swift Keyboard help me get my requirement?
Please share your thoughts.
To remember that 1.6 OS Keyboard in my Xperia, I used to write a big sentence (eg: I love my Xperia but after it stopped their plan to upgrade, I feel frustrating). When I want to write again something similar sentence again, it will recall from my last typed sentence. For example, when I again type I, it will prompt in order like 'love', 'my' 'xperia' 'but', .....
I would like to have such keyboard again. Where? Please help.
If you long press for Input Method do you get the choice of the Chinese Keyboard, cos this is actually in English either T9 or qwerty and does the predictive thing I think.
I just typed I love and it gave me 'me us you'
I wonder if it learns as you go along? I don't know for sure but anyway if you have it on your phone it might be worth playing with before trying another app.
Suze, can't your default input keyboard do that? I replied Benzmar on the other thread.
And I too just replied to both of you on the other thread!! Lets keep it over there for the sake of my sanity
