install apps on external storage

hi, i have a lot of friends who are using xperia phones. we were wondering if it is possible to have the downloaded apps installed on the sd card instead of the internal phone memory?

and what is the latest android version for xperia x10 mini pro and xperia x8...

whats ur current android version ??

go to settings > about phone..

and tell..

also

if u have android 2.1 u cant transfer them to sd card

but if u have android version 2.2 and above u can transfer applications to ur sd card

u may try this

go to settings > appplications > on sd card

the items ticked will be on the sd card..

and the items unticked will be on phone memory..

tap on any item and tap on move to sd card..

u can transfer to ur xperia mini pro since it has gingerbread 2.3

but u canot do this with x8 cz it has 2.1..

and x8 wont have any update after this..i think..

well it says its up to date. i have the current 2.1 version. is there any chance this could be updated to 2.2?

i have the x10 min pro. it has the lates update of 2.1. not gingerbread..... i try to check for updates but it sas im with the latest version already

it is saying that because ur region doesnt have the update yet

se launches its update in some countries then in others..

i know it makes u angry but i dont know whats in their mind..cant tell

i thot that 2.2 and 2.3 are expensive i mean to take the rights and all..

i dont know how that stuff works but this i do know..

that companies like micromax and many more are giving 2.2 above..

and their cost unbelievable..so low..

i know that their hardware, user interface is not at all gud

but they are managing to bring out phones with 2.2

then i dont understand why SE does not roll out..
