How do I download text massages to my laptop

Hi I am trying to download text messages from my sony ericson W805 to my laptop without sucsess , can anyone help please?

Hi Dr Chris, thx for your reply, I am trying to download my text messages using the usb cable that came with the phone.

I downloaded phone explorer and was sucsessful in getting my texts to my laptop, so I would like to thank uliwooly and Dr Chris for their help it was most appreciated, many thanks sally30
