Hello,
I am using SE Hazel (j20i) and trying to connect it to Huawei MT841 wireless router using the wifi option. I have purchased this phone only last week so I believe that there is very little chance of their being a software problem. I have since then tried all that I could to make a wifi connection with MT841, but have been unsuccessful - even the network is not detected.
I am attaching two screenshots of the WLAN options provided by the router.
I have tried all the settings Advanced / Automatic / Manual - changing the channel, module, WEP method and WEP, but of no avail. The phone does not even detect the wireless network.
Can someone please help me by telling me the settings that could work? I have also tried updating using Software Update, but it reports that the latest version of the software is installed.
The router is also connected to my PC through the Ethernet Card. OS: WinXP Pro w/ Avira AV, ZoneAlarm (Free) and Spyware Terminator.
Thanks.

Does your phone have any problem detecting and connecting to other wifi networks?
Hello,
Thanks for the help. I had a problem with my wifi router. I got a new wireless USB adapter and connected J20i in adhoc mode. I am now able to browse the internet using my phone.
I have two more problems and I was wondering if you could help me with that as well.
1) Playnow does not open and reports a "No domain found for MCC: 405" error . What do I do ?
2) Youtube does not stream any videos. Any special settings?
FYI I am in India.
Thanks.
Glad your wifi problem was solved.
1) With regards to Playnow, if you are trying to access it through one of the links on your phone, then try accessing it through your browser by going to m.playnow.com. If this doesn't work either (over wifi or the mobile network), then it's most likely a case of it not being available in India.
2) With regards to Youtube, make sure that under Streaming settings, the Connect using setting is set to the same data account as the one under Internet settings (for the mobile 3G connection) and that the Allow local conn. setting is set to Yes both under Internet and Streaming settings, when trying it over Wifi.If you can't stream videos either over wifi nor over 3G by using the inbuilt Youtube application, then try going to m.youtube.com via your phone's browser instead.Hope this helps.
