does anyone else have problems with the sound sync when using videoing via hd !!

Hi can any one tell me if they have the same problem as myself when using the video camera recording !! as mine after approx 5 mins seems to freeze the picture for a second then on play back all of the sound sync is out(this is fine untill 4 mins then it all goes pear shaped).....ive changed the memory card, reset the phone etc etc with no solution solved, the phone is only a day old and i really dont want to send it back, but its driving me mad as ive lost so many memorable video captures.....i was hoping se was back on top with this new phone as with every se phone that ive bought (x10, x10 mini, x10 mini pro, x8, vivaz along with many more ) there is always something thats not right ???? im at my tether with sony ericsson now and really am thinking of never buying anything with sony ericsson on again !!

Yes a different make of phone thats got gingerbread 2.3 .......... SE will prob get you to return the phone for repair if its a hardware fault (thats if you bought the phone direct from SE) but if you bought it from a  3rd party such as a shop, they have to either give you a full refund or exchange it for a different model of  the same value.......have you tried out a grade 6 memory card yet ?, this does work in regards of the hd recording (well so far in mine), but as i have lots of other issues with the Arc, it really has to go besides my moble phone supplier has agreed to exchange the handset to a different make of phone for me, as he's also had faults with his Arc and sympathises with me, i hope you get your Arc sorted out or exchanged with who ever supplied you with your handset, as i know how bugging this phone is.

i agree all manufactures us its customers as gunipigs, regarding battery life its about a day and a half at the mo using live wllpaper and using the camera occasionally i have no problems accessing the camera or any other program or app but not all phones are the same i know quire a few people with iphone 4s some work fine but some work terible, it seem manufactures cant get consistancy with all ther products ive also come across people who have htc desire hd and the new desire s phones again they complain mainly about battery life and with occasional glitches in operation i think it depends on the luck of the draw at the moment for all phone but so far im very happy with my ARC but we shall see how long it lasts? hopefully along time............

i think it depends on how strong your network signal is when it comes to over all battery life on a phone, but the Arc is meant to have a top battery life which in real terms doesnt...........i had a HTC desire HD not so long ago, which was meant to be one of the worst phones for battery life due to its screen size and small powered battery, but it lasted more than 12 hrs (42 hrs in total under med useage) more compaired to the Arc, my wife had the iphone4 and that lasted 3 whole days on a single charge, which shocked me as her old iphone 3gs had a terrible battery life (barely 12hrs) so at least apple learn from it customers.

i also liked the Xperia Arc but after everything thats happened and heard lots of my work staff complain about it and experienced the Arc working great for the 1st week and then caused a lot of problems has really put me off it, Sony Ericsson was the only mobile phone company that i would ever buy from 5 yrs ago but now i honestly would really need to think twice before buying SE products as this is the 6th SE mobile phone in the last 5yrs thats been nothing but trouble, which is a shame as like i said i did like se's

So the confirm Solution to syncing issue is samsung grade 6  8gb memory card. not 16gb nor 32gb. How about some other brand, im not aware of sony making any memory cards but has anyone else tried any other hi speed memory cards. If this is the soultion its pathethic that sony couldnt announce this as a temporary solution till they come out with the an update. Battery life continues to be a problem for me. I have put brightness to bare minimum and it struggles to make it through out the day. Those who claim to have been pulling a day and half can they kindly what sort of settings there on. When i was travelling i saw this phone and thought this was really sexy and a solid subsitiute to an iphone which has really become too cliche... i did my research for an hour and found no phone review mentioning about the syncing issues nor about the battery life. Looks wise its perfect but im afraid of getting embarrsed if i show it to someone incase it hangs or the video outsyncs.

i think this thead will go on and be num 1 forever lol, as so many ppl have this issue with this phone, and after all the hd video recording and main camera was the main selling focus point of the arc......it made me laught today as ive noticed dialaphone hadnt got the Arc up on there website !!! when i telephoned and asked if it was to do with the sound sync while recording in hd, they at dialaphone replyed ' no' and that it was because they was all out of stock of the Xperia Arc...... what made me laugh was that i was going to exchange the phone for a third replacement and thought id check on thursday and asked if there was enough Arcs in stock for me to order an replacement today (tuesday), and dialaphones reply then was that they had 70 Arcs in stock and that would see them through a whole month !!....... makes me wonder that if they have pulled the phones off sale due to this fault (and others faults) whether these problems are more of an issue than i thought !!!!

just had a reply from an email which i sent to SE last week it still saying that they are still unawere of any recording faults on the ARC what planet are they on? they must and do know but dont seems they want to admit this? but sofar irrelivent to me as my arc is performing brilliantly with the new mem card and with a few tweeks to the phone and a battery saver app i have had today 11 hours of use playing the odd game and using the cammera twice texting and phone call as usual with only a quarter battery gone allthough i dont use facebook or twitter at all, but i agree with every one SE must aknowlage the issuses people are having and atleast send every one a replacement mem card and see what the results on a large scale, but im very pleased with the phone after the few tweeks i have done to it.

What the hell !!!!!! they answered that question to me (17th down from the top of this forum page !) that they ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE REGARDING THE SOUND SYNC BEING OUT IN HD RECORDING !!!, im beginning to think that we are all being LIED to by SE, and why should we as a customer pay out more ££££ to get something working that should have been workiing in the first place (even if it is just a memory card.....even this costs extra money out of our pockets) ........ i think it might be time to take this a lot further, with ppl that will get this sorted , i hate being lied too, im defo returning my arc bk to where i got it from now !!!, i hope that lots of other ppl do the same thing, as im now convinced that there is a major fault regarding this phone, and se want to cover up any knowledge of knowing about it !!!!.

i noticed that no one from SE replys to this forum anymore, perhaps they are hoping that it might just go away and that ppl will get bored of replying to anything on here, well youve lost me SE... and i bet that they will lose 1000s more over this phone...... still thank god for forum site like these that ppl can read and take note

THE XPERIA ARC REALLY IS A WOLF IN SHEEPS CLOTHING, bad all the way through !!!
