does anyone else have problems with the sound sync when using videoing via hd !!

Hi can any one tell me if they have the same problem as myself when using the video camera recording !! as mine after approx 5 mins seems to freeze the picture for a second then on play back all of the sound sync is out(this is fine untill 4 mins then it all goes pear shaped).....ive changed the memory card, reset the phone etc etc with no solution solved, the phone is only a day old and i really dont want to send it back, but its driving me mad as ive lost so many memorable video captures.....i was hoping se was back on top with this new phone as with every se phone that ive bought (x10, x10 mini, x10 mini pro, x8, vivaz along with many more ) there is always something thats not right ???? im at my tether with sony ericsson now and really am thinking of never buying anything with sony ericsson on again !!

no its all gone very quiet, i wonder why !!!!, perhaps they have had to put all of there office staff that read this, in the RETURNS warehouse for all of the Xperia Arcs that prob being returned !!!... lol

Unfortunately there is no way to resolve this (yet    )........SE are fully aware of this problem but no one has any idea in when SE  will bring out a so called update to solve this issue( if it works) along with all the other faults thats been accurring with this particular model....so it could be next month or in the next 6 months, so please dont waste your time in re-doing your project work as ive spent hours of wasted time in trying to record things myself in hd.....and not one after 3 mins of recording turned out ok !!!, ive even had a new Arc sent to me, and this one is even worst (the sync goes out after 5 seconds (yes SECONDS) of recording in HD !!! on this one) as for the other problem that you are having with the arc, i will be honest with you and say that i havnt experienced that first hand so i cant really comment, so it might be a good idea to start another Topic if there isnt one thats already been started regarding this issue .....i hope you get it sorted as ive given up on the Arc and getting a different make and model of phone

hi all first post, i too was having problems with hd recording freezing and sound sync after 3 to 5 min of recording, i tried reinstalling the software that didnt work however i read somewere it could be due to the class 2 mem card having to slow read/wright speed only problem quite a few people tride different cards to noavail but i decided to try this for my self i purchased a samsung class 6 extream speed memory card which arived today and so far hd recording has been perfect all 3 test HD videos lasting 10 to 20 min have been faultless so far? fingers crossed this is the fix..........

hmm,thats weird,i remember i came across some other thread from other website that states that using different writing speed memory card does not fix the prob..=(
Well,anyone with higher speed memory card can test out the video problem? 😃

just an update everything still working perfectly just made a 35 min hd video indoors and out with no freezing lagging and all sound IS in sync so still looking good

Hmmm nothing perfect then...LoL...Sony Ericsson will do something about this...(i hope)...is that another device using android gingerbread..?

i mean another brand than SE device...honestly i'm disappointed SE release this phone too fast...and even didn't know there a bug in Arc device...@luke888 so u will buy another phone...?

i hope SE will return our money if this a hardware fault...i didn't want to have malfunction device... T.T

so far after fitting a new memory card my arc is perfect very fast responsive no issues with hd recording at all so i will asume at this time it is a memory card speed issue not softwere or hardwere of the phone, the memory card i used is a samsung MB-SP8GEU 8GB i would recomend trying this memory card

yes the samsung 8gb grade 6 memory does work well, but when i bought the samsung 16gb grade 6 memory card things went wrong again :smileysad:......... we should be able to put any grade memory card into the phone and expect it to work with any app esp HD video recording ..... my question is, why has SE put 8gb grade 2 card into there phones !!!!! instead of grade 6 ??...... anyway im also having issues with the battery life and getting the camera to start (along with lots of other things !) and feel that phone has way too many problems and bugs and i have really gone off this phone for life, shame really as it is a really nice looking phone but thats where it ends.

yes the grade 6, 8gb card does work wonders.... but the 16gb grade 6 card does not for some unknown reason so thats another £30 wasted :smileysad:.......my question is why hasnt SE supplied a grade 6 memory card in the phone in the 1st place !!!, ive had 3 other different makes of phones that had HD recording, and all work 110% fine and they all had grade 2 memory cards factory installed, so what makes the Arc so special, that it requires a grade 6 memory card ?..........anyway SE's loss as i find that this phone has way too many problems and bugs, the main biggest problems being the hd recording and poor battery life only to name a few, besides the fact that all of this messing about and at my cost has now really made me dislike this phone a lot.......i think that at the end of the day we as customers are being used as guinea pigs.
