Whenever I plug my Xperia x10 into my computer it does not recognise it!!!! What can i do??

Have you installed the drivers? What exactly are you trying to do?

I just want to put some music on to it.

The first few times i did it it worked perfectly but now my computer is not recognising it at all!

does your phone charge while its connect it to the computer? if it doesn't you should try a different USB port and/or micro USB cable.

No it doesn't charge

I trued using ym friends cable (she has the same phone) but hers didnt work either

then it's probably the USB port and/or the cable, I had to replace my cable because it was lose and I wasn't able to charge nor transfer files
