can't change notification sound

I tried to change the notification sound, but it's always the default sound even if the phone says that it's changed...  why?
I have to wait for the firmware update to 4.0.1... (in Italy we don't have this firmware...)?

how are u changing the notification sound ??

u can do this..

go to settings > sound > notification ringtone

and select

or

go to messaging app..

press the menu button select settings

then select notification tone..

select ur sound..

see if this helps..

it's strange because in settings > sound > notification ringtone didn't work, instead with messaging app I succeeded to change the sound!  thanks a lot
