Battery Charging time in Xperia x8

Hi,

Can any one tell me what is the excat charging time for Xperia X8 Phone Battery?Is there any way to identify that the battery is fully charged?When I charge my battery It shows 99% for a long time.but in the begining of charging it shows a quick progress.

Will it harmful for the battery if, its get overcharged?

After charging the handset for 2 and a half hours, the battery will be fully charged. The handset would then stop charging as soon as it reaches 100%. It will begin charging again when the battery drops down to 90%. This is to ensure that the handset does not over charge.

Thank you for the quick reply.then this means, Even though i plug my Xperia x8 to power source continously ,it will not harmful to the battery,Since it automatically stop the charging once it has fully charged.Am i Correct?

Hi, you are right to say that. BUT, surely you won't leave it for few days, right?

One other thing to note, each complete charge cycle diminishes battery capacity slightly.

Of Course not.Just wanted to confirm whether i should remove the phone from the power source as soon as it got fully charged.
