Xperia m4 not turning on or charging

My xperia m4 just stopped working. It will not turn on or charge. Can anyone help please

Hi @Dh_, sorry to hear about your device.

You mention that you tried holding the power button for two minutes, have you done the same with the OFF button that you can access if you open up the cover the the memory card slot? If you haven't done that, please do so.

Yes, I have. I now have a replacement phone (long awaited to be honest) so I'm not desperate, but I would like to have it as a backup .

The next step would be to try and perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will reinstall the latest available software in the device, but do note that all data stored on the internal storage will be deleted in this process.

If you are still not able to power it on or charge it, the device will need to be examined at an authorized service centre as the software repair is the last step that you can do on your own. Your Local support team will assist you further with arranging a repair, so get in touch with them.

My phone has been off for around a couple of months now and i have been trying to turn it on,but when i try to plug in the charging cable the phone turns on and immideatly shuts off. so the red light starts to glow then the screen turns on and it shuts off and it in a loop.HELP PLEASE

Yes i tried every single solution and it doesent work the off button holding the volume rockers and the power button nothing works
