Regarding this article this should work, but I can not get it to work. Anyone that have tips?
I've followed the ADB method and split my card 50/50 and still getting insufficient storage errors. So can someone answer this: What's the point of adoptive storage?
There are other ways, including I think some apps albiet requiring rooting that allow the SD to be used as an internal / semi internal disk have a look around for apps that turn the sd into an ext2 etc drive. I have not tried this yet myself.
I have tried Link2SD before, I think it's the best app for it. The problem is you need to be rooted and I don't want that. I hoped that adoptive storage would fix the issue but it seems that you can still only use adopted storage for apps that allow it.
get a Huawei p10 lite like i did m8, got it from CEX, traded old tech / games etc, lovely phone xlnt camera 4gb ram, 32gb storage, android 7.0, will take 64gb sd card, that'll do nicely 👍👍😉
Wow i'm really disapointed with this phone, practically everyone on this earth was waiting for the adoptive storage update android 6.0 marshmallow was providing. I initially bought this phone because it was Sim Free but the Cons are really starting to outweight the Pros especially when a no name phone called Kyocera i got in a contract CONVERTS to Sim Free after 2 months AND has 16GB space by DEFAULT.
Because Xperia's HD space is tinier than my thumb the Google Play store is practically unusable, many of my favorite and loved apps i had to sacrifice because The Space Was Always Too Small.
I hope these myriad of bad decisions do not effect your market share. I will be effectively transfering all of my work data to Kyocera and look for better Phones that do not suffocate me with the lack of HD space.
Xperia M4 will just become a sparsely used business and emergancy phone until it is replaced with a better device.
