This will be my last Sony Xperia phone, look like they do this on purpose for us to buy their another phone.

I'm really dissappointed by Sony

This is just complete nonsense

i got this phone a little over 2 months ago, bought from a Sony store here in Malaysia. Due to travelling after the purchase I have only just started using it.. After installing a couple of apps the storage message starts .. Which led me here, after reading the comments here, I am completely amazed that Sony has gotten away with this for so long..

Why haven't they recalled this piece of Junk? They are still selling it to unsuspecting customers... I can't believe that a company with such a good reputation is openly stealing from its customers.. That's what this is.. The phone is next to useless..

How come I haven't seen or heard about this scam on social media??

I sure am going to make as much noise as I can about this, I intend to let as many people know about the unscrupulous actions of what I once thought of as a reputable company..

The Aqua m4 is a disappointment to me. It had great promise, is fast and very capable ,especially for the price. The phone is crippled however by its ridiculously small (8gig) memory and inability to transfer aps over to the memory card. I even wasted money buying a 16gig card in hopes it would help. I waste hours of my time trying to maximise memory and have deleted most of my aps and updates just to keep the thing functioning. What were Sony thinking? I wouldn't advise anyone to buy this phone as it becomes frustrating very quickly. I'm considering digging my old galaxy s3 out. I feel sad as a very loyal Sony customer who probably won't consider using their phones again as I honestly feel ripped off. I'm going to be paying for this mistake for another 18 months. Be warned

Both of you were aware on how limited the memory is on this before before you bought it, also, app developers are getting lazier releasing heavy and heavier apps.

Can anyone get through to Sony that the update to Marshmallow on the M4 is a complete waste of time without the ability to use an SD card as adoptable internal storage.

This would solve all of the issues described in the posts below where people run out of storage.

Hi @Fejjie,

I'm thankful for your concern and I'll make sure to forward it internally as user feedback. Please note that the decision to not include adoptable storage with the Marshmallow release for Xperia M4 Aqua was because it impacted software encoding and quality.

I will also move your thread to the larger thread concerning this topic.

why not add a warning then instead of completely removing the feature?

I, too, am really annoyed because I hoping to make my M4 usable again...

@sunday can you provide a link? I only find crap videos or in some obscure language (need English or German)
