I'm not using any battery savers (save for those of the Xperia self such as Stamina Mode) and also no task killers. I'll try a software repair.

Hm, I must have missed this thread, when starting the other, with the same issue:
Looks like it is pretty common issue...
Some people suggest disabling data dormancy, but this requires root acces, and I do not want to do that.

I've done the Software Repair and with Stamina Mode, Low Battery Mode and Location-Based Wi-Fi on it now says it has a standby time of over 3 days. It's still installing the apps, but time will tell if it works or not.

Phone has been on for 10h 6m, on 41%. It is currently awake for 7h 35m and entered deep sleep for 29m. After about 6 hours of sleep last night, it dropped from 94% to 71%, and using it on the way to work for little ove ran hour it dropped 30%. I installed an app called Wakelock Detector and it says, agreeing with the power management battery option, that the app Phone is the biggest offender and keeps my phone awake for 7 hours. It alone has drained 39% of the battery so far.
It's "slightly" better, as now I'll at least believe it'll last 16 hours, but it's nothing compared to the 40 hours, with extensive usage, of pre-update.
Any further advice or should I wait it out for a week?

I think you should wait a couple of days.Restart the phone often(every day).See if this improves.
