Why are some shows missing from BBC iPlayer on Blu-ray and TV?

Why BBC iPlayer on BDP-S370 is not showing all available on BBC web site films and shows?  I can find some films played recently on BBC on the iPlayer on my computer, but they do not show on my Sony bluray iPlayer?  Is this deliberate? If not, why is that and what needs to be done to remediate it?

BBC simply might not have the rights to show them on the TV.  Rights to TV and rights to PC are usually different, thus there is plenty of content also missing from Youtube as the haven't got the rights.

Just to be clear, this is a BBC rights issue and not a problem with your device.
