Connecting BDP-S570 to home projector

Hi Folks, I am trying to play my S570 through my HD ready home projector.  I currently have a booster box for the HDMI signal as the cable run is 25m long.  I cannot seem to get a picture.  Is there a way to resolve this?  Are there better booster boxes you can recommend?

Does it run off a 2m cable just to check everything is working?

Have you looked at some of the HDMI over CAT5 devices as well as they are meant to be pretty good too.

Thanks

Hi Catmambo,

Thanks for your suggestion.  I connected the player directly to the projector and all is well - discs are playing and have wifi connectivity too.  I am currently using a 4 way switching/booster box for my Toshiba HD box which works well but does not seem to recognise the S570 signal or not boosting the signal enough to send to the projector.  Are there booster devices Sony recommends or can I boost the signal before putting it through the booster/switching box without deteriorating the signal quality?  Having a 2m cable hanging from the ceiling is not aesthetically pleasing.

Hi Neil

Unfortunately I have no experience with boosters so not sure to be honest as we don't make any. Maybe try asking on AVForums or one of the bigger general AV discussion boards as sure someone else must have had this issue and can make a suitable recommendation.

Thanks
