When I power up system it does not start up properly nothing appears on tv screen but the led on DVD player flashes please wait any one help

Hi there

Id let it go for a while.  It "might" be updating/dowloading updates for the for BD-Live

Im assuming its also connected to your home network?

After a while, if it still doesnt come good, unplug the power cord for an hour, and try again.  Also, does the "HDMI" light show up on the display?

Not connected it to home network and also no hdmi light on the display

Had it unplugged over night also left it on for about 45 mins

Two things:

1. Ensure that your HDMI cable is connected properly from the Bluray player itself and on the TV (it may have dislodged itself a little).  Sometimes unplugging it and replugging properly helps.
2. If that fails, try - On the unit itself (not remote), press and Hold the "Play" button and the "Vol - " button for more than 5 seconds.  If that works, you will need to go to the video settings to change the resolution.

Done all of the above still no picture the display has now changed to welcome??

Is there any diplay when you press the HOME button or the power button?

If not, its probably time to call Sony Support.
