.AVI Playback using RDR-DC205

Hi all.

I'm having a major problem getting any .avi file to play from dvd. Everytime I try I get a "File format not supported" message. Any clues anyone. I have tried burning discs from my computer in every way... ISO9660,Joliet,etc. I love my machine but this is bugging the hell out of me. Any help much appreciated.

Best regards.

Hi Fubar2niner

1) Make sure you have the lastest software v1.05 installed on your recorder (refer to the user manual to check it). If no, try to update to this last version (go to website, download the file, burn it on a CD following the details provided).

2) I also suggest you to re-encode your avi files into XVID. I have got this problem and encoding the concerned files into this format (even if the files are already encoded into this format) solved the issue.

Thanks

Tandretion.
