You may able to purchase a replacement remote from Sony's dedicated spare parts provider Nedis..

I did a quick search & noticed that Remote Control Shop (UK) states it has replacement remotes for your DHC-MD373, not sure if they are a reputible company as I have never purchased from them before, so check them out before purchasing..:smileywink:
