Hello we have a Sony KD49XD8099 TV. It is a brilliant TV with nothing wrong with it except that for the last two weeks we have not been able to watch certain apps, notably ITVX, 4 or iPlayer. We have tried every fix that we can find on the internet,resets,clearing caches, reloading etc.
Is it correct that our TV no longer supports these apps because the version of android is out of date and the app providers have stopped providing updates that are supported by our Sony equipment.
we’ve tried casting the apps from an iPad and windows laptopbut that doesn’t work either.
Are there any other ways around this that will allow us to view these apps? The tv has nothing wrong other than this and we haven’t the means to replace it and consign it to the scrap heap.
