Can anyone explain why America has had a £1000 price drop on 77 a80j and we in UK have not seems like we are being ripped off

I can't see an available price for the model on the UK website at all?

As of mid May the 77A80J is priced at £4199 in the UK

France (FNAC) euro 3999  = £3447

USA (B&H) Dollars 3998 + approx sales tax = approx £3150

So in the UK we are paying £700 more than France and  £1049 more than USA

Sony if you want me to purchase your 77A80J then give us a fair price.

Its very easy to do an online search and find these cheaper prices. This is the links for the ones I looked at today, I am sure there will be many others.

I don't know what year mean " once its officially released " . It is released, John Lewis, Curries PC World and others are already selling it in the UK at £4199.

I meant to say "readily available" as opposed to the preorder option.
