Is there a digital camera that will work with a Sony Bravia KD-49XH9505 to allow me to do video conferencing

Hello @julian.caesar,

the better question is whether video conferencing even works at all on your TV - otherwise you need to connect a notebook to the TV in which case any camera will work as long as it offers a clean HDMI output and you invest in a capture card.
