Difficulties Signing In

I find accessing the Sony Community a very frustrating experience.  Is there something I'm doing wrong?

 

I bring up the Community webpage and a sign-in or register dialogue appears. I enter my username and the password I had to create the last time I was on the Sony site, I hit Sign-In (or whatever the text is in the button) and zilch, nada, nothing!  If I use the "See password" button I can see my password which the Sony server has remembered but won't permit me access!  I have to use the "forgotten password" link to create a password in order to proceed, knowing full well that I will have to create another password next time!

 

Are you all able to sign-in easily?  Why can't I?

I think I have the answer.  It worked for me when i signed-in to post this reply.

 

First of all, the response from the Sony Community website is slow - painfully so; this makes me believe that all is not well with my userid and/or password and I repeat the process - this prolongs the time before I get a response. But no, the answer seems to be that you have to hit the <enter> key for both the userid and then again for the password for security checks to be made.  This seems archaic and counter- intuitive to me; I would have expected that when I hit the <Sign In> button that is when it would perform it's security checks for both userid and password.

That's a little weird, I'm having no such issues on my end.

 

Have you tried reaching out to the Sony support reps? Maybe there's some issue with your account info or something similar?
