I'm having a problem with my Sony Xperia X compact. I have it about 15mths but last week I noticed when I tried to make calls it says "turn off airplane mode" even though it is off. As a result I can't use it for anything, calls or Internet, unless I'm on WiFi. I've already done a factory reset which hasn't resolved the issue. When I take my Sim card out and put it in my old phone that works fine every time, so not an issue with the card I think although I have ordered a replacement just in case.
Can anyone help out with this.
Hi Phil,
Welcome to the community.
I'll see if I can track down an answer. Maybe someone else in the community has an idea in the meantime.
Thanks,
Pascale
This could be a software issue, there's this app that runs a sort of software fix on the phones, it's called Xperia companion get it on your PC, connect both devices with a USB and cross your fingers.
I am having the exact same issue, did you find anyway to resolve it?
My sim works in my sisters phone, and my sisters sim works in my phone.
I’m not sure what the problem could be as it doesn’t appear to be the phone or the sim.
I have the same issue with a sony Xperia 1 J8170 with android 11 55.2.A.4.47
Did you try to do any of the above steps?
Same issue... my xperia J8170 I´ve tried to reboot the phone in airplane mode without airplane mode and didn´t work also a reset factory doesn´t help
lot of issues with signal on xperia 1
hi EMS_MO72
If you turn on airplane mode and reboot the phone, then after a while you turn off the airplane mode it works sometimes, right now I had to reboot my phone and have the same issue again, and tried with different troubleshooting but not work, reset factory, change sim for another provider, turn off on with different settings.
