I've had an E4G for a while now and this has been bugging me. Whenever I lay the phone down flat, with the screen on, the phone makes a noise similar to:

If I don't lay it flat (such as leaving it at a slight angle or screen down) then it doesn't do it.
If I shut the screen off, it doesn't do it.
It does it endlessly.
Anyone got any idea how I stop it? It's probably the most annoying thing I've ever had a phone do.
Thanks!

Hi,
That sound is familiar. If I'm not mistaken, it's related to NFC. If you for example have a credit card or similar near the NFC area of the phone, it will try to read the card but fail. Go to Settings > More > NFC, if it's enabled I suggest that you disable it to see if the sound stops.

That did it. Thank you very much! I leave my phone near my wallet, I guess it's been picking up on my bank card all this time.
Perfect, glad to hear that!
